PHSCO's Services

Accreditation Support

PHSCO offers accreditation support to initiate quality improvement and help prepare health departments seeking accreditation. Support can vary based on the health department's needs, but can include, technical assistance, training, and guidance.

Emergency Preparedness and Planning

The Public Health Service Council of Ohio (PHSCO) Emergency Planning Program works with and supports agency emergency infrastructure. This collaboration is based on planning, training, and readiness concepts. The elements combined create a platform, building the agency and staff for flexible, timely, and sustained response actions.

Ohio Accreditation Learning Community (ALC) Coordination

The Ohio Accreditation Learning Community (ALC) is a public health initiative aimed at supporting local health departments (LHDs) in meeting Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) standards. It provides training, peer networking, and documentation resources to help Ohio agencies achieve accreditation.

Quality Improvement Training and Support

In partnership with Hollingsworth Consulting, the QI Training and Support program equips teams with Yellow Belt and Green Belt training: tools that translate directly into measurable improvements and support PHAB accreditation requirements.
